Introduction Welcome to the MACROPIX IMAGE REQUEST & APPRAISAL SERVICE, or M I R A S for short, which is the image requesting service of Macropix.co.uk. If you are unable to locate an image requirement in the main Macropix Galleries then this service may well provide you with the answer. Macropix is a specialist image library in the field of close up Photography, including topics such as fauna and flora covering flowers, insects and the natural world. As well as a range of other miscellaneous subjects and abstract images. There isn't really any boundaries, anything at all that produces a totally frame filling close up shot is in our remit. If this fits the briefing for your image requirement then you have come to the right place. If you're unsure ask anyway. Service Details - A guide to using the image requesting service Macropix has a team of dedicated contributing photographers who are specialist in the art of capturing the up close image. Once a request has been received then the details of that requirement is immediately circulated to the photographers with a request to supply the subject matter. Details are also placed on a contributors section of the website. Fill out the details on the Request An Image form at the bottom of this page to submit an image request enquiry. As well as saying what picture you need, you will also need to include all relevant information about your picture requirement; such as size to be used, deadline of publication, usage and print run. Please also include a contact number so we can call you if needed. This request will be confirmed by Macropix by email and any other required information asked for. Once we can firmly establish and agree what your requirement is then as stated above a communication will be sent out immediately to Macropix's specialist contributing photographer team with your image request as a proposal. There is no charge for making this enquiry or any obligation to purchase anything. The response back from the photographic team with an answer on what can be offered based on that request will dictate what course of action happens next. You will be inform as soon as possible of any outcome. If there are no responses for any reason or your request can not be met then you will be told and that is as far as it goes, no cost to you. Likewise you will be informed of any positive responses of photographers willing and able to obtain your image. In this case we will await your further instruction and confirmation that you wish to proceed. Service Cost Should you decide to take advantage of any positive response received then we will ask for a £35.00 arrangement fee payment. Once this is received then a image request will be issued to the photographer(s). If your image requires any materials to be purchased or involves any out of pocket sundry expenses then you will be expected to reimburse this and may be asked for payment in advance should the sums involved be over £10.00. Viewing and Appraisal Once the the Photo-shoot has taken place the results from the image capture will be made available online for you to view in a personal gallery. You will be advised when they are ready and where to view them. Low resolution watermarked comping images can be sent to you or downloaded online for layout purposes if required. If you are happy with an image then it will be made available to download as a high resolution file online upon payment for the image licence as per regular images in the Macropix Image Library. This is in addition to the arrangement fee . If for any reason the images you view are not suitable for your requirements then all you pay is the arrangement fee and any expenses incurred with no further commitments to buy. The images are then entered into the library and become available as general stock. Please note that using MIRAS is NOT purchase of any copyright and is not authority to publish. All images used are subject to licensing from Macropix in the usual manner at the rate specified for the usage.
