Macropix is an Internet Picture Library and holds image files online which are available for downloading on payment of a reproduction licensing fee. The cost of the licensing fee will depend on a number of factors which are explained in the pricing heading on this page
You can browse the galleries on this site freely without registration, but in order to obtain quotes and buy images you will need to register an account. This is a simple free to do no obligation process.
All purchased images are supplied by download links and are best quality high resolution jpeg files. These are suitable for most normal image requirement. Should you require a larger file or high grade file such as a TIFF then please Contact Macropix.
If you require an image for layout purposes then Macropix will supply free of charge a low resolution watermarked image upon request.
When referring to an image in any communication then please be sure to use the image reference code which will be prefixed with 'mpx'.

Terms and Conditions


All images are rights managed, licensed for one time use as specified at the time of sale. Copyright remains with Macropix.
Unauthorised use or offering images for resale, license or other distribution, is strictly forbidden.
Payment for imagery is not automatic authority to publish. Once an approved and accepted payment method has been received your selected image will be available for you to download. When you have the image there is a simple automated licensing application form to complete which is linked from the account page.
This form is for a reproduction licence and must be completed and returned by the person responsible for the publication of the image. Once submitted an automated email will be sent out to the supplied email address on the form. This is the confirmation and LICENCE AGREEMENT which is your authority to publish according to the terms specified in your licence application.

Pricing


Image price is based on:
1 Type of media - e.g. newspaper, magazine, book, etc
2 Image use - e.g. editorial or advertising, etc
3 Reproduction size and position e.g. cover or inside use etc,
4 Print run, territory distribution etc.

By using the above information the image library has a built in instant pricing tool to enable you to calculate the cost of any image for your usage.
There is also an option to ask for a quotation by email.
Please note that at this time Macropix is NOT registered for VAT or sales tax.

Payment Methods


1. Instant payment is accepted online via credit card and debit cards by PayPal. The Macropix paypal account is paypal@macropix.co.uk

2. Payment can be also be made by electronic bank transfer directly to a Macropix Business Account held at HSBC. Please refer to details on invoice for full instructions and banking details. Please send confirmation email to sales@macropix.co.uk on completion of the transaction to confirm purchase.

3. By agreement for approved customers payment can be made by invoice on a 30 day account.

Macropix Customer Accounts


Customers who have a previous account history with Macropix or are from a prominent company with a proven account trading track record are invited to take advantage of opening a customer account.
This account allows customers to download images 24/7 without the need to pay in advance. Simply download your image and licence the image using the automated licence structure. You will then receive an invoice via email which is payable 30 days after the licensing date.

The 'on account' not so small print


After 30 days if not settled in full the account will fall into arrears and will be; Subjected to a £10.00 per month late payment administration charge, plus accrue interest at 7.5% per month or part of. After 60 days the account will be suspended. After 90 days civil recovery proceedings with commence and legal fees charged to the debtor.
